Today it was announced that My Opera will be axed in few months.

We have made decision to shutdown My Opera as of March 1, 2014.
Sucks, but wasn't a surprise and I see why they are doing it. My Opera doesn't generate any income for Opera, is overrun with spammers and takes resources from other things. So they are just going to kick us out.
You can export your blog if you want and move it to somewhere else. I haven't been really an active blogger, so it isn't a great loss to me personally. Other people have been blogging less and less too I guess, most people just use Facebook or maybe G+, so no much need for My Opera's Blogs anymore.
Maybe I'll move my random rantings and stuff to G+, although it keeps asking the same info way too often. Where do you live, what schools have you attended, who is your daddy and what does he do, things like that. Doesn't take no for an answer. It feels like G+ is nagging for sex and that turns me off from using it, but at least it isn't like Facebook that would just be "Hey, had sex with you while you were sleeping, but it's ok we are married" when you start asking why your arse would be sore (or noticing that your private stuff would be out there for everyone to see).

There is a problem then. We must re-create the whole Internet as it was a darknet, since the mainstream Internet is becoming Facebook. And we will have to use hardware put together by scrapping the junkyards, since no useful hardware is going to be sold to “consumers”. It is the hard life of post-apocalyptic survivors.
