Note: Firefox 3.0.X is no longer supported, upgrade to a newer version 😉
With Firefox 3.0.X Clearing Private Data doesn't clear the Site Preferences (Zoom and such).
You have to delete content-prefs.sqlite file from the profile folder.
This has been fixed in newer Firefox versions, but with old 3.0.X you have to do this manually. It's not a very big privacy issue, but it could show at least few sites where user has been going, even if Firefox would be set to clear history on exit.
I wouldn't have even noticed this if I hadn't visited a page where I had accidentally zoomed (few months ago :eyes: ). There were 5 or 6 sites listed in my content-prefs.sqlite file. Only one zooming was intentional, and even that was only made to test how Firefox zooms. Opera's zoom works much better 😉
Hmm, just realized that Opera's Delete Private Data dialog doesn't have an option to clear Site Preferences either… but at least you don't have to go manually deleting files 😀
I made posted this on Opera's whislist http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=463321 I hope they would implement Clear Site Preferences on Clear Private Data dialog.
Thanks for that info…
